I have a friend by the name of Yufei, who is an able scholar with a wizened mind for logic, rational in the disciplines of math and science. Indeed, he is intelligent and he is also wise. I lived life with him from our advanced secondary school age, and we felt the joy of heaven dawn upon us when we came to Hwa Chong, while in an induced temporary poverty-like state, realises that we are among the ingenius and conscientious students with an academic rocket to boost our life. We had our joy, simple, easy and often geared for logical reasoning. We felt like scholars, studious and with mutual companionship, while maintaining our air of innocent albeit the transition to adulthood. Yufei was nice and quiet, yet in his personality hold an air of softness and a heart of compassion. He wanted to do the Physic Olympiad, with a heart of reservation and a favourable compassion for justice, and with wise and healthy sacrifice, resulted in a Bronze medel for the Physic Olympiad, that ennobles me and our contemporaries to admire with a smile. I realised my Physic was good, being among the finest in my class, yet there was some crucial link missing in view of my mastery in application, and that, my friend, may be partially the reason Yufei was the victor and the inspiration. I realised now that the main issue is the heart of a theist, who can concern the divine from the physical realm and apply conservation and wise euphemism to physics to a complete union with the theoretical conceptions. This was my missing link and my current realization is convenienced with a new perspective to the discipline of Physics and my friend, Yufei's forte.
Sadly, my rationality mis-sight cost me my second year in Hwa Chong and my good grades in some manner, while Yu Fei attained his nice and cool four ace and two distinction.
In surprising fashion, as God can propose for the earning and respectful soul, is a recent valence act with Yu Fei. He did maintained his composure, now a faithful Master Student in America, after a relaxing second upper acquisition in Singapore, which may be humbling to him, yet he know the Master accredition due to non-academic achievement is truly his light and room for his worthy and joyous American Dream. Indeed, Yu Fei is wise, with a mature founding and a fond love of academics, for his life philosophy is based on the grace of wisdom and ethics. As he wanted to understand love, the perfect love equation for man, I smiled and cheered him on knowing that a nice and beautiful provision is plausible. He is contented and remain glad in his scholarly stoicism and kindly position. He really have passion for his love work, and his passion is his accreditation passage. We talked in scholarly love, as preachers and we come to a conclusion of first among equals, as credit-worthy scholars on light and leisure disciplines, and he finally acknowledge me as a talented scholar, for my mind was field worthy and philosophically functioning. Thank God for his grace, and while my grades are not yet good, a fine scholarly remarcation from Yufei that support my wisdom, and the consolidation is that he knew me for seven years. This is a genuine compliment, and I reasoned that further humbly labour and earnesty is my collection for institutional credits. I also aimed for my second upper honours, for both YuFei and me realised the need for balance and healthy leisure to profit the academic fort.
My plight has been of sorrow and morosity, yet my love prevails. The moral is to love God first on his pedestal, and glory is His for our understanding.
